Dr. Michael Ebner is the James D. Vail the third Professor of History – Emeritus - at Lake Forest College. He’s been a professor for over 50 years and joined the faculty at Lake Forest in 1974.

In addition to having written extensively on America’s cities and suburbs, Dr. Ebner is the author of the book, Creating Chicago's North Shore, A Suburban History.
